Her smile, one last time

White is the cord that held the baby
The mother’s life, sails to her baby
The cord is cut, the baby cries
Her mother smiles, her mother cries

A smile is born, a tear is born,
with lie of a life, truth of death is born,
the nurses cry, a girl is born

father cries, the grandmother cries,
all the glitter breaks and dies…

the mother screams, the mother’s sad
and in her body, a mother is dead
she fights with herself a little while
she tries to put a brazen smile..

“I admit I am no use, no use at all
I admit I am guilty of this gory crime
Still I ask for a wish fulfilled
let me see her for one last time”

Women's Day

Women's Day? Huh!

This is an era of celebrating days. Shedding off major chunk our responsibility towards certain endangered but important practices by celebrating a day or a week. Or may be commemorating something exactly opposite that has a social death.

So how does one go on celebrating a women's day:

1) Fighting for women emancipation on atleast that day?

2) Respecting women a little more that day?

3) Respecting women atleast on that day?

4) Pledge not to look at ongoing women's bodies on roads?

5) Pledging not to hit women in busy markets and streets?

6) Pledging not to molest girls in lonely places?

7) Pledging not to stare and stalk college going girls till they feel completely harassed?

8) Pledging not to kill a girl foetus?

9) Pledging not to rape a girl and not to ruin her life atleast on that day?

I think these rapes and molestations and female foeticide will go so common in future that govt. will have to announce:

-

'Molestation free days'

-'Rape free weeks'

-'Special season's bonus to "non-rapists"

-'Financial help to families with two or more girl children alive

 What have we become? Animals?

And

For those not 'confined to home after dark', those working late, those working in isolation, those walking on roads, those travelling in public transport, one can really see in their eyes :
-the terror of being followed, always alerted state, fear of encountering some bad guy, fear of strangers and of something unknown, an incident ruining a day or two, broken life after the heinous act . . .

And what can we do, just feel ashamed!

May be

May be all that becomes a habit for them, habit of being ridiculed, may be they get used to those one-liners and acts they experience everyday, everywhere. Don't know, never dared to ask anyone, have you?

How to recognize and prevent child abuse.

Child abuse is more than bruises and broken bones. Physical abuse has more visible signs than other types of abuse like child neglect , emotional abuse and scars which may remain for a long time.

Lots of children have become victims of abuse and have already gone through alot and something really needs to be done to stop this menace lets work together and make a difference and make it a safer place for children as well as the future generations.

Children are innocent and they become easy targets for the abusers because the abusers know how to emotionally black mail them and make use of them. Never leave your child unattened always take them with you wherever you may go. The abusers tend to take advantage of the situation and kidnap your child or even harm them in some way or the other. In most cases, children are found to be abused by someone they may know. If your child comes up to you and informs you that he/ she has been abused in some form or the other never ignore it get something done instead before its too late.

Ignoring a child's needs , putting them in dangerous situations, making them feel they are not worth it , making them feel they are stupid and they do not know anything is also known as child abuse.

Always try to fulfill your child's needs never make them feel they are worthless etc. Your child needs your love , care and support always be there for them no matter what.

Lets make a difference and make this planet a safer place for the children and the future generations.
